Yeee-haaaaw! It’s wild turkey season once again here in Michigan, which comes a number of regulations for the hunting community to consider before firing a single round at these feathered beasts.

First and foremost, you will need a hunting license before you can use your bow, shotgun or muzzleloader to snuff out a single bearded turkey to put in your freezer until Thanksgiving. But what the Michigan Department of Natural Resources does not tell you is you will have to arm yourself to the teeth in order to prevent becoming a casualty of war while in the trenches of Man Vs. Bird.

These animals may appear harmless, but they can become vicious when faced with a human on a mission to turn them into various poultry dishes in the days following the annual bird bender that pays homage to the Pilgrims raping and pillaging of the "Indians," now more aptly referred to as Native Americans.

Note: They didn't name a whiskey after this bird just because the name sounded cool.
