This Lake Michigan lighthouse in St. Joseph has become an annual hotspot for photographers and videographers, due to its amazing appearance once it is iced over.

I've seen photos of this particular lighthouse in years past, but I don't know that I've seen it in video form before now. The lighthouse is splashed constantly by lake water, and while the temperature remains below freezing, the ice formations continually grow in size until it looks like the wizard's ice palace you see before you in the video.

It's quite a site to behold in still photography, but it looks amazing in motion. The videos included here come courtesy of photographer Joshua Nowicki, who has been shooting the St. Joseph lighthouse quite a bit this year. Wouldn't you if it were convenient? This lighthouse looks so amazing that it's almost enough to take your mind off of how cold it is outside. Almost.
