Michigan Misspells ‘American’ On Recruitment Flyer Mimicking ESPN Magazine

When it comes to recruiting athletes, establishing and maintaining credibility is a key component. Of course, showing potential players that you are not an imbecile and a loon is a lot easier when your recruitment plans do not entail creepy drawings or in the case the University of Michigan – misspelling “America”.

Earlier last week, the university sent out a slick flyer to its high school recruits that was intended to mimic the cover of ESPN Magazine -- because what kid wouldn’t want to see his ugly mug pasted on the cover of a national magazine? The only problem was someone forget to hit spell check before they were printed, and now the cover reads, “Michigan’s All-Amercian RB Mike Weber.”
