Whether you're speeding, tailgating, not wearing your seat belt, or driving drunk, Michigan Police will be looking for you this Memorial Day weekend.  Police are putting a zero-tolerance policy into effect, looking to bust anybody and everybody not obeying traffic laws.

Last Memorial Day weekend, nine people died in seven separate crashes, a number that Michigan Police are trying to bring down.  Considering over 1 million Michiganders are expected to hit the road this weekend, they'll have their work cut out for them.

Police insist that the zero-tolerance policy is place to protect citizens and not raise police revenues.  Michigan State Police Director Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue was quoted,

We want to prevent traffic crashes that lead to serious injuries and fatalities by taking a zero-tolerance approach to drivers who are operating under the influence of alcohol, not wearing a seatbelt or driving aggressively

So whether you're going up North or just driving around town, make sure you obey all traffic laws and avoid getting a hefty fine.
