Michigan State Police Trooper Shot in Flint [AUDIO]
An 11 year veteran of the Michigan State Police was shot outside Brothers Food Store in Flint at 12:30 this morning. Police were responding to a report of a fight in front of the store located on Saginaw and Stewart Avenue.
WNEM is reporting that troopers made contact with one person while another took off on foot. A trooper pursuing the runner was shot. The suspect was caught shortly after in a wooded area.
The unidentified trooper was shot in the abdomen and has been released from the hospital. The suspected shooter is a 34 year old male with priors and is currently being held in the Genesee County Jail.
