Michigan Woman Takes Four Fawns From Woods and Gives Them Away as Pets

She was told to put the fawns back where she found them, but she had her own plans. The Montcalm County woman has been fined $575 after taking the babies, whose mother could not be found. According to WNEM, authorities said the woman called the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and DNR Sgt. Ron Kimmerly told the woman to put them back where she found them. Instead, she took them and posted pictures of them inside a home on social media. One of them was released, the other three were taken to a wildlife rehabilitation specialist, and one died on the way.
