Sometimes it can be a real pain to have to detour your regularly traveled roads but this is Michigan and some construction projects are in desperate need of completion. There's a few projects in the are that are getting underway as we speak. One of the bigger projects will include the shut down of I-69 on Tuesday evening as the Lake Nepessing Road bridge over I-69 will be demolished. According to ABC12, traffic will reopen to one lane in each direction on Wednesday at 6 a.m.

The detour for those needing to travel on northbound Lake Nepessing Road is to take eastbound I-69 to M-24 (Exit 155), then westbound I-69 to return to Lake Nepessing Road. Southbound motorists should take westbound I-69 to Elba Road (Exit 149) then eastbound I-69 back to Lake Nepessing Road.
