Muse Frontman Matthew Bellamy And Kate Hudson Have A Baby Boy

Last week we reported that Muse singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy was hoping to have his band be the first to record in space. Saturday the rocker embarked on an entirely different, but equally challenging journey: fatherhood.

Matt Bellamy becomes the second rock frontman to father a child with 32 year old actress Kate Hudson, the first of which was Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes. The six year marriage between Robinson and Hudson ended in 2006, they have a 7 year old son named Ryder. In the time after that divorce Hudson was in a few high profile relationships including stints dating actor Owen Wilson and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez.

The Muse vocalist and Hudson began their relationship in spring of 2010 after hitting it off at the Coachella Music Festival; He was their performing with Muse, she was there to watch friend Thom Yorke of Radiohead perform. It was revealed in January that the pair were expecting a child, and at first said they were not rushing to get married. Three months later in April, it was announced that the two were engaged to be married.

The Associated Press reports that the two welcomed a "healthy baby boy" on Saturday (7/9) in Los Angeles. The two have not announced the name of the child or any other details as of yet, but we will update this story when those become available. If Hudson's kids have even half of the musical talent of their fathers, they are gonna have one kick ass rock group when they get older.
