Jeffrey Nothing, frontman for the Cleveland masked metallers Mushroomhead, recently announced that he'll be embarking on a solo mission for the first time this fall.

Mushroomhead have amassed a large cult-like following after years of extensive touring, high energy shows, 15 music videos, and 7 studio albums. According to AOL, Nothing will be taking a breather from the band to go solo. Nothing said of the new record:

"The whole album is about escaping reality. People choose a variety of ways to feel better in the face of the depression that can be caused by trying to survive in a world that can seem completely uncaring and smothering. 'The New Psychodalia' is like a new safe hallucinogenic that makes all the ugliness in the world beautiful, with no harmful side effects. The entire album is kind of like a twisted, thought provoking view of the truths. It exposes the lies of the American dream that has really become more of a nightmare."

Mushroomhead drummer Steve 'Skinny' Felton served as the producer on 'The New Psychodalia', which will be released on October 11th.
