I am a pop culture junkie. I’ve been putting in the man-hours so you don’t have to sort through a bunch of crap to find out what kind of badassery you have coming at you in 2011. I’ve listed the 6 most exciting  albums being released next year. Read after the jump for more on the new Incubus album.

For the record these are only my opinions. You can trust me though, I have incredible taste.

#6. Incubus:  The band has spent over a year on hiatus, in that time singer Brandon Boyd went to art school and quietly released a solo album, guitarist Mike Eizinger played with an orchestra, and drummer Jose Pasillas spent time enjoying fatherhood. The band headed back to work on writing and recording the next album which they have planned for a 2011 release. Their last album “Light Grenades” debuted at #1 on the charts and went on to become certified gold. I wasn’t head over heels upon first listen, but it’s a good album and REALLY grew on me after a few listens. I’m hoping for the new stuff to be more in the direction of my favorite album of theirs “Make Yourself”. The band played some shows in South America earlier in October, check out the video below for a performance of one of their new songs called ”Surface to Air” (skip to about 2:00 in the video for the new track). Click here for the updated story from April.  I will give you more details on upcoming albums, games, and movies throught the rest of the month. Stay tuned…
