Topping the list for the albums you wont be able to live without in 2011, is the Foo.

#1.Foo Fighters: Dave Grohl is back in the captain's chair and is ready to kick some ass. The Foo are taking a step backward this time around by recording the album completely using old school methods. No Pro Tools, just a 24 track recorder, a garage, and their instruments. Dave even enlisted the producer he worked with on Nirvana's classic "Nevermind" to do the album, Butch Vig. He also brought in his friend/former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic to play bass and accordian on a track for the new record. Dave insists that this is the heaviest Foo album to date, and went on to say there is not one acoustic guitar on this album. Although when I read that there is accordian on an album that is "heavy", I start to get suspicious. It all sounds good to me (minus the accordian) and you can expect to hear it in the first half of next year. Since you won't get your fill of acoustic Foo this year, here is an awesome version of  "My Hero"...
