Music Preview: New Soundgarden in 2011?

I am a pop culture junkie. I've been putting in the man-hours so you dont have to sort through a bunch of crap to find out what kind of badassery you have coming at you in 2011. I've listed the 6 most exciting  albums being released next year. Read after the jump for more on the upcoming Soundgarden album.

#5.Soundgarden : After reforming from a 13 year break the band played a few shows including Lollapalooza and released a retrospective disc "Telephantasm" which included the new old song "Black Rain". Though the bands future is uncertain, guitarist Kim Thayil said in a recent interview it would be impossible for the band to NOT write any new material. He went on to say that in the next 18 months you can expect some unreleased b-sides to surface and probably a new album. Thayil also said that all the members had other obligations at the moment (for example Matt Cameron is the drummer for Soundgarden and Pearl Jam) but they all are really excited about working together again. Here's hoping it happens sooner rather than later.
