Our ‘Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?’ guest this week is Myles Kennedy! The Alter Bridge / Slash singer sat down with us to prove and disprove what’s written about him on Wikipedia!

As usual, we start at our guest’s formative years. In this case, Myles told us about his time as an air guitar specialist in his early teens. Myles also delved into his former day job as a guitar instructor and his star 14-year-old student whose goal was to learn Van Halen’s “Eruption.”

Myles was actually almost the singer for a new project featuring members of Led Zeppelin, but the jam sessions never materialized. Wikipedia claims Kennedy was also almost selected as Robert Plant’s replacement for a Led Zeppelin reunion, but Myles shot that entry down as fiction.

Alter Bridge’s third studio album, AB III, is perhaps the band’s most popular release. Myles confirms the album was greatly inspired by his personal struggles with questioning his faith. The musician even spoke of losing his father, who practiced Christian Science, because he refused to get medical attention according to his religious beliefs.
