A NASA rocket filled with supplies for the International Space Station exploded during it's launch Tuesday (10/28/14) evening. The rocket was unmanned but there was major damage to the launch facilities.

The rocket and spacecraft that were carrying roughly 5,000 pounds of supplies and experiments to the International Space Station, together cost more than $200 million according to CNN.

NASA Administrator Bill Gerstenmaier said "Tonight's events really show the difficulty that it takes for us to do this task of delivering cargo to the space station," he said.
