Flint City Schools need all the help they can get, and luckily, after announcing massive layoffs, nearly half of the employees let go will be getting the call to come back to work. Check out the details on the good news.

About a month ago, Flint City Schools announced that the district would be laying off 237 teachers, administrators and other school employees.  The cuts were made in an effort to balance the district's grossly out of whack budget.  The 2012-2013 school year is already $20 million behind where it needs to be financially.

Luckily for the students and the community, almost 100 people who were laid off will be getting the call to come back to work.  57 teachers, 27 administrators and 3 other employees will be returning for the 2012 school year.

Flint schools still have a long way to go, but hopefully the extra help in the system will mean good things for the kids.
