Edmonton Oiler Taylor Hall was sidelined when he tripped during warm-ups and his teammate Corey Potter accidentally sliced open the left side of Hall's head while attempting to leap over him. Click through to watch it happen and see the nasty aftermath.

Hockey can be a dangerous sport. Edmonton Oilers left winger Taylor Hall was reminded of this in painful fashion the other night when he suffered a gnarly gash to the forehead. Wearing a helmet may have prevented the injury but unfortunately for him the incident happened during the warm-up skate prior to their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night. Players are only required to wear their helmets during the actual game -- at least for now. Check out the accident that gave Hall 30 stitches and one hell of a nasty scar (pictured above).
