Nikki Sixx has been just playing through hernia pain on the past few tour stops, yet a break in the schedule is the perfect time for the Motley Crue bassist to get patched back up.

With one band (Motley Crue) out on the road for their farewell tour and the other band (Sixx A.M.) getting ready to release a new album in October, having two hernias repaired was definitely not in the master plan. It had to be done though, because Sixx has been in a tremendous amount of pain for the past few months.  After his September 3rd surgery, he wrote on his Facebook:

"I have been performing during the last few months with a pretty intense double hernia, but you gotta give 100% even through the pain onstage. The good news is yesterday I got surgery on both sides and it went really really well. My lovely wife, kids and Lecia have been really taking care of me."

Motley Crue completed the first leg of "The Final Tour" and will pick back up where they left off October 10.
