Nikki Sixx Makes False Report Of Missing Son

There’s nothing more terrifying than having a missing child — it’s a matter that law enforcement takes quite seriously, and understandably so. Rocker Nikki Sixx allegedly reported his own son missing last week, even though he was aware of the boy’s location. WTF?

In a story that doesn’t make much sense from the angle it is being told, Motley Crue and Sixx A.M. bassist Nikki Sixx appears to have filed a false claim that his son was missing to the Malibu Police Department last week. TMZ reports that the boy fled his home following a dispute with a family member.

Sixx then contacted the authorities and told them that his son was missing, but he also told him where the boy was — at a friend’s house. Maybe someone should’ve explained what the word “missing” means. If you know where someone is, aren’t they found?

Either way the mix-up was ironed out shortly after police were involved, who located the boy at the suspected location. They informed him that his family wanted him to return home and he did just that.

Whether Sixx was trying to teach his son a lesson or just didn’t want to get off of the couch, we’re just glad everything turned out fine.
