The future is here my friends. Today, Michigan officials including Gov. Rick Snyder and U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow will break ground on a new facility to test driverless cars.

This facility will be located where the old GM Powertrain plant was in Ypsilanti Township and be called the American Center for Mobility. Workers and officials are looking to have the center open by December of next year.

According to ABC 12:

It will be available for use by private industry, government, standards bodies and academia. Companies will be able to lease office space, garages and other amenities.
