Ozzy Osbourne, the man who once bit the head off of a dove has officially gone vegan. If "Vegan" sounds crazy next to "Prince of Darkness", try adding "Best-Selling Author" next to his credentials.

The headline is one that would've looked preposterous a decade ago, but is absolutely true as of this week. Ozzy's new book of "medical advice," 'Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy: Advice From Rock's Ultimate Survivor,' landed at #12 on The New Your Times Best Sellers List.

The novel, which really is more of a collection of lessons learned through personal experience than a medical advice book, was comprised of highlights from his 'Ask Dr. Ozzy' columns from 'Rolling Stone' and UK's 'The Sunday Times' with some additional material added. Actually this is his second bestseller, his memoir 'I Am Ozzy' hit #2 on The New York Times list last year.

Ozzy appeared on 'The Talk' -- a 'The View' style program that features his wife Sharon as one of four hosts -- yesterday to promote his latest literary endeavor, and revealed that he had recently changed his diet. According to Noisecreep, not only has the Ozzman snacked on his last dove head, he's done with animal based products completely -- Ozzy is a vegan.

Apparently the legendary vocalist's assistant encouraged him to watch the documentary 'Forks over Knives', which changed his outlook on his diet. Ozzy told 'The Talk' of his new eating regiment:

"I feel OK actually, I feel better about myself, you know? I go on binges. That's the reason why I decided to cut out meat out and dairy because I've limited what I can have because when you're on the road and you're traveling, you grab buns and... burgers are everywhere... so now I've just narrowed the margin. I'm not saying I'm gonna do it forever; I might go back, when my wife learns to cook. So that'll be never!"
