Hood Slide Goes Hilariously Wrong
The hood slide was popularized by good ol’ boys Bo and Luke on the TV series ‘Dukes of Hazzard.’ The move has been repeated millions of times since, but usually without the Duke’s well-practiced accuracy.

Head-banging to Metallica is a time-honored tradition, but it’s usually not this literal.
Not many drummers can say they’ve had the opportunity to play for the legendary Black Sabbath but Godsmack‘s Shannon Larkin holds that honor and considers it to be one of the best things that ever happened to him.
Metallica’s eight-concert run in Mexico City has begun at the Palacia de los Deportes. A video of the ‘best effects’ during the opening show on Saturday, July 28 is now available (watch below). The nine minute clip includes shots of various pyro and lighting effects, including what appeared to be stagehands catching on fire.

Although the news broke yesterday that Metallica were set to begin work in earnest on a new album in September, drummer Lars Ulrich doesn’t want fans to get too anxious about the upcoming release. The Metallica percussionist is “realistically” expecting the band’s 10th album to hit stores in early 2014.
In the first part of our interview with Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook, he told us everything we needed to know about the Trespass America Festival tour that he and his bandmates are currently headlining. Smashing Pumpkins’ music is all over the map — they touch on everything from psych rock and electronica to folk-tinged indie pop, sometimes — but frontman Billy Corgan isn’t shy to say that head-banging metal has always been a major influence. Metallica set the bar high after they finished their set on day one of the Orion Music + More festival in Atlantic City, N.J. Fortunately for fans, day two exceeded all expectations. Sunday night, mighty Metallica tore through their ridiculously successful 1991 self-titled disc (better known as the Black Album), and to no one’s surprise, they played it backwards, just like they did with ‘Ride the Lightning’ the night before. Delivering another night of 2 hours of solid rock ‘n’ roll, how anyone left Orion without their faces melted off is an absolute mystery!
Day one of Metallica‘s Orion Music + More festival is in the books, and there is no doubt that 32,000 people left Bader Field in Atlantic City, N.J. with smiles on their faces Saturday night.
Avenged Sevenfold fans in North America were bracing for a summer without any live shows from their favorite band until Metallica came and saved the day. Invited to participate in the Orion Music and More Festival in Atlantic City on June 24, Avenged Sevenfold decided to make the most of it, adding a few one off shows prior to their festival appearance. The first of the three shows was in Quebec City, Canada on June 21 followed by a second show on June 22 in Uncasville, Conn. The two shows would serve as a warm-up for their highly anticipated Orion performance.
