Pearl Jam ripped it up in Hartford, Connecticut Friday (October 25, 2013) with a powerhouse 34 song setlist that included epic covers of Van Halen's 'Eruption' and 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love' -- see the video here!

PJ fans who were at the XL Center on Friday are some lucky SOBs! Not only did they get a concert on this leg of the tour (Michiganders, like much of the Midwest, are still waiting, Pearl Jam) but they were treated to a killer setlist, which included the rare 1-2 punch of Mother Love Bone's Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns. As impressive as that is, Mike McCready's mastery of guitar pyrotechnics was the real headline.

Mike effortlessly played Eddie Van Halen's fiery two-handed tap-fest -- 'Eruption' -- pretty much note for note and then the band went straight into 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love.' They had previously only played the latter tune once (ironically, in Hartford in 2010) but had clearly practiced it since because this version was near-perfect. Eddie even threw in a Diamond Dave ninja jump kick at the end for good measure! I have a feeling that this is going to be the most popular live bootleg disc from this tour... I know I'm going to get it!
