For some reason, a video of Pizza Hut employees is causing a stir on the internet. If you count yourself among the butthurt -- we've got some tough news for you.

News Flash: Food service employees get high. It's a fact of life. Get over it.

There aren't many -- some would argue there are no -- restaurants where you can order a meal and not have it cross paths with an employee that has smoked weed within the last 8 hours... maybe even during their break 30 minutes ago.

Trust me, I worked in about a dozen kitchens in different states and everyone of them is about the same. I have seen, and occasionally partook, in behaviors like smoking during trash runs, smoking on the clock, smoking during breaks, smoking with kitchen staff, smoking with front of the house members, smoking with managers... hell, I've even been a manager that smoked with his employees on the clock (allegedly).

When I was in charge of a restaurant staff one New Year's Eve -- this was long, long ago -- I told my crew they could do whatever they wanted as long as they could still do their job safely and somewhat effectively. Reckless? Maybe, but we were forcing them to work all night on New Year's Eve, and that sucks ass. I had a few drinks myself before it got super busy and I didn't have time to goof around anymore.

There's a reason most places in food service don't have an HR department in-house -- because everyone would get fired. People flirt shamelessly, swear like sailors, talk s--- all day long, have inappropriate relationships with co-workers and managers on the reg, drink on the job, smoke on the job -- it's the wild west, basically. Be glad you got your stupid New Year's pizza at all, and stop worrying about what the people that made it did to cope with the fact that they're making pizza on New Year's.
