25-year-old Joseph Charles McCollum was last seen around 7 a.m. on Aug. 21 at St. Joe's hospital in Washtenaw County after being dropped off by a family member. Apparently, he never checked into the hospital.

According to WNEM, The night he went missing he was having a mental breakdown and thought people were out to kill him. McCollum has schizophrenia and has been known to use drugs.

He's described as 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve white T-shirt, a dark baseball hat, and blue jeans. He has a history of medical issues and may be a danger to himself.

If you have any information about McCollum's whereabouts, contact the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office at 734-994-2911.

You would think that if he was having a mental breakdown the family member that dropped him off would have walked into the hospital to make sure he checked himself in. Regardless, he needs help and needs to be found.
