Pope Francis’ Heartfelt Moment with Sick Man
Pope Francis is in the headlines this week for a powerful moment he shared with a man with a disfiguring disease. The 76-year-old head of the Catholic Church paused for a moment to pray and embrace the sick man, and the image has gone viral. Check out the video below. The image certainly touched my heart. (And, yes, I shed a tear…or two.)
People from all over the world tweeted out their adoration for the Pope’s act of love.

The sick man the Pope was with suffers from neurofibromatosis, states the Catholic News Agency. The genetic disorder can cause hearing and vision loss, heart and blood vessel problems and tumors, among other ailments.
True power is service. The Pope must serve all people, especially the poor, the weak, the vulnerable.
