Pouring Molten Aluminum Into a Fire-Ant Hill Makes Awesome Cast of Their Colony [VIDEO]

Have you ever wondered what the inside of an ant colony looks like? Me either, but this video of a man casting a Fire-Ant colony with molten aluminum is pretty cool — check it out here.

This video has been out there for less than a month, but it already has over 14 million views (at the time I wrote this, obv.). I am oddly fascinated by the results of this little experiment. Plus, I think the one in this video would make a pretty cool Christmas tree. I just hope he didn’t accidentally create some T-1000 Fire-Ants that will take over the planet when Skynet becomes self-aware. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to melt a bunch of empty beer cans and find an anthill.
