Primus have filled out their 2012 dance card and have announced their North American tour plans for late spring / early summer as well as a string of shows in Europe kicking off this week.

Last fall, Primus released their seventh studio album, ’Green Naugahyde,’ the band’s first since 1999′s ‘Antipop.’ The record also marked the return of Jay Lane, who was the group’s drummer prior to the recording of their 1990 debut album ‘Frizzle Fry.’

Primus have announced their extensive touring schedule for the next few months, which includes a special tour through Europe dubbed ‘An Evening with Primus’ where the band will perform two full sets at each stop. The band’s North American tour kicks off in Colombia, Mo., this May and runs through late June. Primus will continue the ‘An Evening with’ format for a majority of the North American tour, with support from Gogol Bordello and Fishbone at select dates.
