We're still not sure if it is a prequel, sequel, reboot, legacy-quel, pre-boot-quel or what, but the new 'Red Dead Redemption 2' trailer does reveal that the old west looks incredible on current-gen consoles.

'Red Dead Redemption' was an astonishingly fun game to play, that also had an extremely satisfying and rich story. It's a rare three-pronged high-watermark, but the games that reach that level are often regarded among the best of the best. 'Red Dead Redemption' belongs in that conversation.

The 2010 game is so beloved that a sequel reveal has been one of the most persistent rumors at every single video game conference and comic-con type event for the past three years. Finally, that day has come in the form of a trailer for the highly anticipated sequel.

We don't know if we're going to be playing as a pre-redemption John Marston, his son Jack, or some other group of bad hombres entirely, but it looks fantastic. It also appears that whomever the star is -- he rolls deep. We may even get to slaughter buffalo and bandidos as his entire squad... or with our own squad via multiplayer. I guess we'll find out when the 'Red Dead Redemption 2' hits shelves in Fall of 2017.
