Retired Detroit Officer Arrested, Grenades and Launcher Found in Home

A former Detroit police officer was recently arrested after neighbors had reported hearing between 20 and 30 shots fired around his home.

Police went to his home on Detroit's west-side, where he had barricaded himself.

The man ended up driving off but police were able to get him before he got too far, apparently he's being accused of drunk driving.

According to ABC12, police searched his home where they found grenades, grenade launchers and other weapons. the bomb squad was called in for a complete search.

Why in the world would this dude ever need to have a grenade launcher? It's kind of scary to think of this unstable man (assuming since he barricaded himself) owning weapons like this, even scarier if you're his neighbor.
