Rise Against Unleash ‘House on Fire’ Ahead of New Album Release
We're just a few weeks away from the release of Rise Against's eighth studio album Wolves and there's a brand new song to check out. The group just unleashed the track "House on Fire," which can be heard in the player above.
The song feels like a perfect fit within the band's catalog, with a driving drum and guitar beat powering a majority of the song, allowing for the occasional pull back to let Tim McIlrath's raspy yet commanding vocals take the attention. "So I'll just hold you like a hand grenade / You touch me like a razor blade / I wish there was some other way right now, ohohohoh / Like a house on fire we're wrapped in flames / I'd burn you if that's what it takes / To let you know I won't let go of you, ohohohoh." sings the vocalist in the chorus.
"House on Fire" follows on the heels of the current single "The Violence" off of the Wolves album. The song itself is available via multiple outlets here. The disc was produced by Nick Raskulinecz in Nashville. “Living in Nashville drove home that we can’t just focus on our differences,” says McIlrath. “If we can stop and talk to each other, face to face, we might realize our common ground. We are all wolves in the same pack, circling at the gates.”
Wolves is currently available to pre-order via Amazon and iTunes as well as the band's merch store. It will be available everywhere on June 9 through Virgin Records. And look for Rise Against on tour at these stops promoting the album.
