The cult classic "The Big Lebowski" is one of the great films of our time and now according to SuperOfficialNews.com, will be getting the sequel treatment.  Jeff Bridges will make his return as Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski, teamed up with Walter Sobchak played by John Goodman.

The story revolves around their bowling alley getting shut down by Bill Murray and their efforts to save the lanes.  The Dude's son will be one of their main allies, played by Jessie Eisenburg, who was conceived in the first movie.  Mark Lebowski will be 18 in the movie and the youngest Congressman in US history.

Julianne Moore will return as Maude Lebowski, as well as Phillip Seymour Hoffman.  It is unclear if Tara Reid will be in the sequel, as she royally pissed off the Coen Brothers in 2011 for leaking info on the project.

Filming is expected to start this October with The Big Lebowski 2 having a tentative release date in the summer of 2015.
