Sharing Your Netflix Password Will Soon Be A Thing of The Past?

It looks like your days could be numbered when it comes to sharing your Netflix password with your family and friends.

According to IFLSCIENCE,  there's a new AI-driven tool that was introduced at this year's Consumer Electronics Show that will be able to decipher whether certain patterns of logging in are legitimate or the result of sneaky behavior. For example, it will notice if two different households are clearly unrelated, such as different tastes and geographical location, yet are still sharing a password. However, it will also be able to work out if the freak log-ins are fair game, such as the user being on holiday or whether they have shared passwords with a family member who lives away from home.

Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and others will benefit from this new development which sniffs out those that share their passwords. I know so many people that are not going to be happy about this. I don't ever share my Netflix password, not because I'm a dick or anything but because I can NEVER remember my stupid password, to begin with.

This new technology isn't even in place yet so as of now, there's no reason to freak out just yet. That is until Netflix or other streaming services decide whether or not they'll want to employ the new technology.

Apparently, Netflix's CEO Reed Hastings has stated in the past that they love people sharing. He said it's a positive thing, not a negative thing.
