Sixx: A.M. took to the stage for a burning performance at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards tonight (April 11) of their singles ‘This is Gonna Hurt’ and ‘Are You with Me,’ marking their first live performance in nearly four years.

After a shred-tastic rendition of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ from towering Swedish guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, Nikki Sixx and crew approached the stage at Club Nokia to officially open the show. The band last performed live at the 2008 installment of Crue Fest, but showed no signs of cobwebs as they ripped through a pair of tracks from their 2011 release ‘This Is Gonna Hurt.’

First Sixx: A.M. broke out their single ‘This is Gonna Hurt,’ as DJ Ashba stole the show with his wah-drenched guitar work — the axeman has clearly stayed sharp while on the road with Guns N’ Roses.

Sixx: A.M., with vocalist James Michael singing his heart out, finished their two-song set with their current single, ‘Are You with Me Now,’ where Ashba was again the standout thanks to his melodic lead guitar mastery. Sixx: A.M. fans are definitely hungry for more after tonight’s performance, but will have to wait until Sixx and Ashba complete their plans with their respective day jobs — Motley Crue and Guns N’ Roses.
