Skillet are currently getting a boost with "Stars" included on The Shack soundtrack, and they've now found an outlet for another one of their songs. "Back From the Dead" has been chosen to soundtrack a new trailer for the Marvel Comic's Monster's Unleashed! comic book series.

The trailer just premiered via Billboard and finds the Guardians of the Galaxy needing some help as they attempt to fend off the Leviathons with the help of Thor. It's part of a five-issue run featuring members of the Marvel Universe all taking on some of Marvel's monsters. The first issue was published on Jan. 18.

Marvel Comics editor in chief Axel Alonso tells Billboard, “Monsters Unleashed! is what Marvel does best: a gigantic, bombastic battle for the fate of the world. With its kinetic, hard-hitting sound, Skillet's ‘Back From the Dead’ is the perfect accompaniment for a story that pits the world’s biggest superheroes against skyscraper-size monsters.”

Skillet's John Cooper adds, "Marvel has been one of the defining things in my life ever since I was 4 years old when Spider-Man became my hero. A world where even a nobody like Peter Parker can become someone, stand up for what is right and no matter how evil the world becomes, you know that good will overcome. Being involved with Marvel is truly one of the best moments of Skillet’s career."

Skillet's "Back From the Dead" has been rising up the rock radio charts in recent weeks and is featured on the band's Unleashed album. The band is currently touring in support of the disc and you can see where all they will be playing right here.
