Slipknot remind us that there is nothing more metal than pimping for your favorite web browser. Knot cool, guys.

Slipknot unveiled some new masks in their just released music video for 'The Devil in I' and are now offering fans a closer look via their website... that is, if they're down with Google Chrome. I went to take a peek at the new masks and was met with the error message below instead.

I use Firefox because clearly fire is more metal than chrome (if you take that literally, it doesn't make sense), but Slipknot disagrees. Either their web guy is a fan or they got a paycheck to promote the browser. Both scenarios suck. Instead of opening the site in Google Chrome, I wrote this blog. That's how annoying this sort of invasive product placement is to me. That's too bad, I really wanted to do a close-up comparison of Corey Taylor's new mask and Grandpa from 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre.'

Note: I'm not really clear on whether you get to see their masks up close or if it puts a mask on a picture of you because the comments were filled with everyone freaking out over the fact that the Slipknot Facebook page responded to a comment. They told a fellow complainer that it was coming soon to Firefox.
