The Smashing Pumpkins let it be known that they were planning to give their back catalog the deluxe treatment last year after Billy Corgan gained control of the rights. Now the details have emerged for the first two re-releases -- 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream'.

This marks the first time the two albums have been remastered since their initial recording in 1991 and 1993 respectively.  Both albums will be packed with extras not originally included and be available in a variety of different formats including CD, digital, vinyl, and a deluxe 2CD/DVD set as well. They have set a November 29th release date for both 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream'.

In addition to the remastered original discs, both releases will have a bonus disc of previously unreleased tracks including new remixes and B-sides (of which any Pumpkin fan knows -- they have plenty). A live DVD will also be included, both feature performances at The Metro in Chicago -- one from 1990 and one from 1993. The deluxe editions are housed in special lift-top box packaging, the deluxe versions feature liner notes and track by track commentary from Billy Corgan, never-before-seen collages and photos, postcards and more.
