Smashing Pumpkins have been working on an epic 44 song project called 'Teargarden by Kaleidyscope' and the latest offshoot of that is the album 'Oceania'. Though it's not due until early next year, Billy Corgan announced the band will tour this fall and his involvement with a new wrestling company.

The Smashing Pumpkins announced via their website that they will be hitting the road this fall and according to Rolling Stone they will be testing new songs from 'Oceania' as well as playing classic Pumpkins' hits.

'Oceania' will be coming to stores in early 2012 but Billy, who recently acquired the rights to the Pumpkins' back catalog, will be dropping deluxe editions of the band's previous works starting with 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream' this fall.

Corgan was also named as the creative director of the new wrestling endeavor Resistance Pro. Billy has long been a fan of wrestling and even paired the last song released from 'Teargarden...', 'Owata', with a mini-documentary on women's wrestling. You can see Corgan speaking to WGN about Resistance Pro, spirituality, and the demise of Chicago's popular alt-rock station Q101 in the video below.
