No. 10 Michigan State took on No. 2 Ohio State last night in the Big Ten championship game, and the Spartans took home a victory, winning 34-24 over the Buckeyes. Now, MSU (12-1) will take on Stanford (11-2) on Jan. 1, 2014 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

My entire family graduated from MSU, so we’re incredibly excited to see the team back at the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1988. I also admire MSU head coach Mark Dantonio think his resilience and faith are inspiring.

Just for kicks, I decided to dig up some facts from the last time MSU was at the Rose Bowl. Check them out below, and go Spartans!
