Back on November 11th at Bay City's Western High School a school resource officer was working inside of a classroom alone when his gun went off unintentionally.

According to WNEM, the bullet blasted through a wall and went into another classroom, striking a teacher in the neck. Luckily the wall slowed down the momentum of the bullet, leaving the teacher without injury.

It's still unclear how the weapon fired.

There was a 13 year-old student in the classroom at the time of the incident. She talked with TV 5 after the shooting took place, see what she had to say here.

The Tuscola County Prosecutor’s Office has been appointed as a special prosecutor to handle the case
