Stanley Cup Falls To The Ground

I thought there were always people around the Stanley Cup with white gloves?  I did not see any of those peeps in the video below.  Former Boston Bruins player Michael Ryder (recently signed to the Dallas Stars), took the cup to his home land of Newfoundland.

As soon as Ryder placed the cup onto a table in front of an adoring crowd, it fell!  According to the Bleacher Report there is no word if Ryder will be fined for the cup falling.

I can't believe he would be fined.  It looks like a complete accident to me.  Check it out.  Do you think he should be fined?  That must be a joke!
