Stone Sour has decided to cancel the remainder of their tour after drummer Roy Mayorga suffered a minor stroke a few nights ago. According to the band Mayorga is "doing great and expected to make a 100% recovery".

Mayorga's  stroke occurred after the bands show in Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday. This is the second member of Stone Sour to drop off of the tour lately, bassist Shawn Economaki had left earlier to deal with "personal issues" and left the band touring with a replacement. It comes as no surprise that being two members down was enough for the band to discontinue their remaining dates. This includes the show at the Fillmore Detroit this Friday and their appearance at Rock on the Range (Puddle of Mudd will be taking their place @ ROTR). The band also stated that they "apologize to the fans and look forward to getting back out on the road with Roy in the coming months". Despite Mayorga's recovery speed the band will likely not hit the road until August;  frontman Corey Taylor will be touring overseas with Slipknot from June 17th-July 10th.
