Stone Sour will continue their two part concept album in April 2013 with the release of 'The House of Gold and Bones Part 2.'

Stone Sour have often been thought of, unfairly we might add, as "Corey Taylor's other band" or his "side project," but the release of "The House of Gold and Bones Part 1" was more than enough to prove that this band is no mere hobby for the Slipknot frontman. The record was just the first part of a massive undertaking, a 2-part concept album with multiple companion pieces in different forms of media including videos, online elements, live shows, a Dark Horse comic series and Taylor is even contemplating a feature film based on the albums concepts.

Though most of those elements have yet to come to fruition -- the comic goes on sale April 17th 2013, while the full-on tour may not kick off until 2014. The latter of the two will likely be an even bigger production than the album itself, as Taylor recently told Billboard, "We do two nights in one place. We play Part 1 top to bottom, the next night Part 2 top to bottom involving a pretty elaborate stage thing that we’re cooking up now. And once we do that, we’re gonna film everything and try to put together a very comprehensive DVD set."

The first half of HOGAB was easily one of the ten best albums of the year, featuring stellar tracks like 'A Rumor of Skin,' 'My Name is Allen,' 'Taciturn' and their #1 single, of course,  "Absolute Zero.' Taylor recently said that they will begin promoting HOGAB 2 very soon and are plotting to release its first single, 'Do Me a Favor,' which you can hear below. Stone Sour may alternate releasing singles from both albums after 'Do Me a Favor,' but that is still a tentative plan at this point.

The albums, both parts of considered considered one story, are described by the frontman as "a morality play. It’s about a person trying to find himself, or herself. You know, everyone in their lives finds themselves inevitably at a crossroads when it comes to a personal evolution and whatnot, trying to figure out what they want to do with the rest of their lives."

Expect the subject of the first part of 'The House of Gold and Bones' to complete that journey in the conclusion, which will be officially released April 9th.
