Stretch Of Genesee County Highway To Be Named For Local Fallen Soldier [VIDEO]
A local fallen soldier will soon have a stretch of highway in Genesee County named in his honor. Mundy Township resident and Carman Ainsworth graduate, Sargent Joe Johnson was killed defending our country in Afghanistan in 2010.
A stretch of highway in Genesee County will now be named 'The Sargent Joe Johnson Memorial Highway'. I drive that northbound stretch from Thompson Road to Bristol Road everyday. I will certainly be thinking of Sargent Johnson and the ultimate sacrifice he made for our country.
