If you love to decorate for the holidays super early, like the-day-after-Halloween early, this is right up your alley.

A new study shows that people who get a jump on Christmas decorations tend to be happier. A renowned Psychoanalyst from England said in an interview that holiday decorations are a pathway to those old magical childhood emotions of excitement and joy. So putting up those Christmas decorations early extends those good vibes.

Other experts say that the practice transports the decorator back to simpler times. I have a few friends, who shall remain anonymous, that just can't wait until November to bust out the tree, garland, and all the fixings. I understand getting excited about the holidays but I'm from the school of thought that we should at least get to Thanksgiving first. But hey man, whatever floats your boat, I guess. If it makes you happy -- go for it. Just don't try to make me listen to Christmas tunes the day after Halloween.
