Deftones played Austin's South by South by Southwest Music Festival for the first time this year and they made their debut in style. During the SPIN showcase at Stubbs' on Friday, the band brought out Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys to help them make their presence known.

The band backed up the rapper as he delivered his verse from "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" before frontman Chino Moreno led Deftones into "Digital Bath" from 2000's White Pony. Check out footage above.

It wasn't the only hip-hop crossover for Deftones at SXSW: During their sets on both Thursday and Saturday, Moreno launched into a snippet of Drake's "Hotline Bling."

Deftones are set to release their eighth album, Gore, on April 8 via Warner Bros. Listen to the blistering new song "Doomed User" below. They'll play a few more shows in Texas this month before kicking off another leg of their tour on May 8 in North Carolina.
