Another Michigander finished strong this week at the Boston Marathon. A cross country coach at Fenton High School was able to place in the top 20 at the race.
Some history happened at the Boston Marathon yesterday. For the first time in 33 years, an American won the race. Desiree Linden crossed the finish line first for the women with a time of two hours, 39 minutes, and 53 seconds.
The second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing has been captured. Dzokhar Tsarnaev was taken into police custody Friday night -- five days after the bombing that left three dead and left more than 100 injured, police said. The 19-year-old was apprehended after a manhunt that began Thursday night with the fatal shooting of an MIT officer and extended into the evening hours on Friday.
Are you freaking kidding me? With everything that happened yesterday this makes me almost as sick to my my stomach as the bombings themselves. This video shows some serious scumbags stealing marathon jackets not long after the bombings.
Two explosions have been reported near the finish line near the intersection of Boylston and Exeter streets. Reports also say that store fronts have been blown out, and there are reports of dozens of injuries.
