No bubble can last forever — it must eventually pop, as is the nature of bubbles. Marvel has built a vast media empire on the strength of such stars as Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth, but no actor would be content with playing and re-playing the same role forever. All good (and obscenely lucrative) things must come to an end, and Evans has begun the long and painful process of consciously uncoupling from Captain America’s star-spangled shield and cowl. But a new quote from the actor suggests that he may not be the first big name to make a departure from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

So far, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a beautiful tapestry of heroism, intricate plotting, and Spandex. 14 movies and over two “phases” in, things are going swimmingly. Hardcore fans are happy, the movies make billions of dollars, and the web of characters and their adventures is getting ever larger.

Ahead of Captain America: Civil War's Blu-Ray release in September, The Huffington Post spoke with directors Joe and Anthony Russo to clear up some questions we all had at the end of the most recent Avengers installment. One of the final scenes of the movie is Steve Rogers putting down his shield, which made a lot of us wonder if that could mean he's symbolically giving up on his superhero alter-ego.

'Captain America: Civil War' comes out tomorrow so the Avengers have been making the press rounds. Chris Evans stopped by to see Jimmy Fallon and play a game of "Frozen Blackjack." It is hilarious to watch, but that seems incredibly painful to lose.

Not long after the initial rumor was reported, it was confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming — returning Sony’s favor following Tom Holland’s MCU debut as the web-slinger in Captain America: Civil War. Since then, we’ve been wondering if any other Marvel characters would crossover to the Spidey reboot, and according to Holland, there’s at least one more hero he wants to see in his upcoming solo film.

I maintain that of all major superhero characters, Captain America has the highest number of good stories per capita; that there are so many solid Captain America runs that if you were to just pick an issue at random, you have a better than average chance of hitting a good story. And so, with a new Captain America movie preparing to score a billion dollars at the box office, here are a handful of tips on stories that you can look to if the movie has you seeking out more hot Cap action.

It’s well-documented at this point that Marvel movies take no cue from the multiple TV tie-ins, most always the other way around, though Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3's worldwide introduction of Marvel’s Inhumans seemed at least potentially worth a mention. Not so, apparently, as Captain America: Civil War’s writers had no awareness of the TV branch in crafting Cap’s international adventure.

Dingle crafted several intriguing characters. With an increasingly active black nerd, or blerd, community, new black characters are being created every day --- primarily through independent publishers, though Marvel has also kickstarted a focus on one of its most notable black characters --- but more on that later. To celebrate Black History Month, ComicsAlliance is running down our list of 20 Great Black Comic Book Characters.
