Many of us were taught growing up that the magical formula to being a successful adult is to graduate high school, go to college for four years, and end up with your dream career that pays for your kids, dog, and white picket fence.
The annual tradition of playing a scrimmage game in their Halloween costumes continues again this year at San Diego State University. Among this years notable costumes included a first baseman who is supposed to be President Obama (He takes his mask off once the game starts), a third baseman dressed as a baby (I felt this costume was the creepiest of all), and a San Diego Chargers cheerleader who cranks one out of the park, which isn't quite as creepy as the guy dressed like a baby because guys dress like girls all the time in California
For once we have a college prank that is actually well done. This guy gets to a class a few minutes before the real professor and starts the prank. The students actually fall for it hook, line, and sinker until the real professor shows up.
We've all seen baseball players get hit by a pitch at one time or another in our lives. Sometimes a toss gets away from a pitcher, he loses control and the batter gets hit by accident. Other times, the pitcher may have an issue with someone and they get beaned on purpose. I'm at least 83% sure this is the accident variety. But who knows. Either way this definitely a cup check.
There are some students graduating college with pretty nontraditional degrees, especially those from individualized study programs, but the latest online offering from The University of Edinburgh is a little bit out-of-this-world.
Michigan State Football fans may Sparty a little harder, as Green and White legend, NFL star, and Flint native, Andre Rison will be returning to East Lansing to help coach the Spartans and to finish his degree.
