The American people take their politics seriously, and when an individual is elected to office, the citizens who put them in office deserve full transparency when it comes to his or her policies. Currently, the Chicago Teachers Union is on strike for increased pay and to block changes to their health benefits, among other demands, but one brave protester challenged Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel on an even more important issue -- whether or not Emanuel is a fan of Nickelback.
Mark Tremonti of Creed and Alter Bridge fame is hitting the Machine Shop in Flint on Sept. 20, bringing tracks from his debut solo release, ‘All I Was.’ Tremonti, of course, is a sick guitar player, so it should be awesome to see him shred it up in an intimate venue like the Machine Shop.
It’s official: New Creed is on the way! Guitarist Mark Tremonti posted the news via his official Facebook page yesterday (May 20), and he seems more than stoked with the results.
This video is an inside look at the world's last Creed fan. His name is Chad and he's the last of his kind and it's up to the zoological society to preserve and defend all endangered species, including "the last Creed fan." Last week, Mark Tremonti teased fans with a few preview sound bytes from his upcoming solo album. Now, Tremonti is disclosing even more details, including the first single and the full track list, from the upcoming release.
The first time most of us heard about Mark Tremonti, he was heading up post-grunge behemoths Creed, touring the country and playing bread-and-butter rock hits such as ‘My Own Prison,’ ‘Torn’ and ‘What’s This Life For?’ That was in the late-‘90s and early-‘00s, and Creed have since gone on to become multiplatinum rock sensations.
It’s hard to believe, but the boys of Creed celebrate the 15th anniversary of their multiplatinum debut album, ‘My Own Prison,’ this year. Of course, a milestone like that can’t go by without some kind of celebration, and in that spirit, the guys — singer Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bass player Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips — are setting out on a North American tour this April.
Mark Tremonti recently said his solo material is heavier than Creed or Alter Bridge and has a lot of soloing -- that says a lot coming from a guy who plays lead guitar for a living.
