Oh Deer!

Hunting season has begun and while some hunters keep their meat to feed their families over the next year, some are donating to the less fortunate.

It's that time of year again where no vehicle is safe. Even deputies have their run-ins with deer. Be sure to be careful when out driving this time of year.

Back in January, our friends over at J. Deans Sausage & Jerky in Davison, suffered a horrible wakeup call. A fire caused their main location and processing center to close down.

Two deer in Tuscola County were recently found by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Since the deer were illegally killed, the DNR has launched an investigation to find the poachers.

The folks at Godwin's furniture in Saginaw walked in on quite the surprise Thursday morning. A scared deer busted through the front window and began running around like crazy in the store.

Josh Irwin is one lucky guy! The Bay City resident was going approximately 40 miles an hour on a motorcycle when a deer ran out in front of him. Irwin did hit the deer and walked away with a broken arm (could have been much worse). Surprisingly enough the deer was okay too. You can see it all, because Josh captured the incident on his GoPro!

For deer hunters October and November are the most wonderful time of the year. For drivers, not so much. I have hit a deer before and I do not care to again. However, it is not just automobiles that deer run into. Windows are also on the list.

It's alive! This deer is either really smart or just really lazy. This hunter comes out of his tree stand after shooting a deer. As he approaches it, we notice there is no bullet wound. Upon closer inspection, the deers eyes open up and away he goes.

A video of a Colorado man rescuing a fawn trapped in a deep window well has gone viral, partially because the fawn's mother is standing nearby, anxiously watching to make sure her offspring made it out safely.

Have you heard the phrase 'bull in a china shop'? How about 'deer in an antique shop'? I am not sure if a bull has ever been in an actual china shop, but two deer were actually caught on camera in an antique shop. Who gives a crap about 'who let the dogs out', who let the deer in?

A video from 2010 is making its rounds again on the Internet. I don't recall watching it, but I have problems remembering yesterday, let alone 2 years ago! This particular video stars a deer and a bird. Spoiler alert - only one survives!
